Does anyone agree with me?

On D-DAY, operation overlord was a success. Well. For the Allied Forces. I think it could have ended up better for the Germans if Adolf Hitler let his generals command with more leeway. If he let his generals decide more than just a small few things--I'm positive that someone would have said "Send down the Panzers." If those tanks were down on the beach, we would have lost... tragically. Anyone agree? Anyone want to debate to me a good answer as to why I could be wrong? No hostility here, just a humble thought.
